Visa and other formalities
- Passport
should be valid for intended duration of stay

- Application
should be made for Long Term Business Visa with
multiple-entry facility (MEV) ;
- Spouse
and children should also procure appropriate Visas
granting stay co-terminus with that of the concerned
employee ;
- Formalities
to be complied with on arrival in India
- Immigration
Card usually provided by airline on board the
aircraft to be filled and submitted to immigration
officer at the airport stating personal particulars
and purpose of visit.
- Registration
by foreigners with FRRO
where
visa is for a period of 180 days or less and the desired
period of stay in India is less than 180 days
Registration not required
where
visa is for a period more than 180 days - seek registration
within 2 weeks of arrival.

presence of applicant at FRRO

- Letter
of employer to MHA confirming that services of applicant
are required.
- Undertaking
by employer
- Copy
of Approval of Agreement from Government of India/Reserve
Bank of India, wherever applicable; and
Physical
presence of applicant at FRRO
Where
visa is for a period of 180 days or more and a foreigner
wishes to stay beyond the period for which visa was
granted seek extension of his stay well before
the expiry of his visa period.
Requirements

- Departures
for abroad
- Fill
up Immigration Card at Airport
- For
holder of visa with MEV facility No formalities
required for any number of visits
- In case
MEV facility not available obtain fresh visa
for re-entry into India
- At the
time of final departure, in the case of persons registered
with FRRO, surrender Certificate of Registration to
immigration officials at airport.
